What should a pitch deck include? The problem, your answer to it, proof that it’s working, why you’ll win, and what you’re asking for, in ten to fifteen slides with one idea each. Investors skim first and read later, so every slide should make its point in a few seconds.

The structure we start from

  1. 01The hook: one line on what you do and for whom.
  2. 02The problem, told through the customer, not the market.
  3. 03Your solution, ideally with a real product screen.
  4. 04Traction: the one or two numbers that prove people want it.
  5. 05The market, sized from the bottom up, not a big top-down number.
  6. 06Business model: how you make money.
  7. 07Competition, and why you win.
  8. 08The team, and why you’re the ones to do it.
  9. 09The ask: how much, and what it gets you to.

Two decks, not one

The deck you send ahead has to make sense with nobody presenting it, so it carries more words. The deck you present should be leaner, so people listen to you instead of reading. We build both from the same design.

“If a slide needs you to explain it, it isn’t finished.”

What design actually does

Good design doesn’t make a weak story strong, but it makes a strong story easy to believe: clean charts, consistent type, and a brand that looks like a company, not a side project. When Idara took its new brand into investor decks and events, it looked like the serious business it was. It grew users 140% in six months.

If you’re raising soon, our pitch deck design work covers the story, the slides and the data, usually in two to three weeks.
